Coco to the rescue!

This is Sandra. We might have forgotten to tell you all about her, because... Frankly... She's generally rather boring. She always stay in her crate without wanting to play or cuddle with us at all. Can you imagine?? Anyways.. She's the last Zebrafinch around here. Mom have had zebbies for years and they were one of the reasons she got interested in genes and biology and breeding and stuff... She's owned Sandra's parents, too.. and her sister who passed away a couple of months ago. They were getting old and Mom don't plan to keep zebbies now - at least not for a while - so currently Sandra is living alone, poor girl.

Anyways.. This weekend Coco woke Mom up early.. Mom got rather grumpy but got up and let her out assuming she was thirsty. But she just stared at Mom and jumped back into the chair to sleep. Mom took her outside anyway hoping she wouldn't be awaken again. No such luck. A little while later Coco started whining and when Mom got up she just stared at her. Then Mom noticed Sandra was making weird noises.. She checked on her and discovered that something had gotten stuck in the thingy she's got her teeny weenie kibble in and she couldn't get food! As soon as Mom fixed it she started eating and was all happy again. And Coco went back to sleep. Then Mom tried to go back to sleep, but couldn't so she got up instead.

She's a cutie, though.. Her mom was named Nimba because Nimbus couldn't get enough of sitting in the chair next to her crate and just watch her jump around. These pictures was taken years ago when she was just growing up. If you notice her tail feathers are ruffled from sleeping in the nest rather than on a branch!

Relaxing weekend..

So... Mom's finally helped us upload pictures elsewhere so we can post them here without blogger acting up. This is what we've been up to most of this weekend. Relaxing. Mom's been relaxing to the point of boredom, actually.. But today she took us out for a nice walk in the woods in the sunny spring weather we're having lately. They promise it'll last for a week. One can hope.
We didn't bring the camera into the woods today. Sorry... But we wanted to share these pictures mom took of us when we were sleeping and she wanted to test the macro function on the cell phone camera. They didn't turn out too bad, actually. For cell phone pictures at least.

She actually made me open my eye for this one. Can you imagine? I was trying to sleep. S L E E P... Apparently she didn't get it!

Have a good weekend!

Hi guys! We're having problems uploding pictures to blogger lately. Mom will have to help us go by a different route, but don't really have time for that right now. Just imagine pictures of our cute selves relaxing on the couch this weekend, will you? Mom managed to get a proper spring cold and is mainly coughing under the blankets and we do our best to help!

Bajas' Birthday Party!

Mom made muffins for me! Hah.. MeMeMe!
It was oh so yummy! I got one all to myself...

..while Nimbus and Coco had to share the other one. The rest were made with chocolate so we couldn't have any more even though we might have begged a little.

This is my cute birthday self going to sleep! I had a great day with Mom home all day and we got a great walk on the beach with Mom and PA and it was spring weather and lovely and flowers all over. Mom brought the camera, but she didn't remember to check the batteries, so unfortunately they took no pictures. But I promise it was almost as pretty as me! If you can imagine..

Hi friends! I just want to remind the world that tomorrow is one very, very important day! Yup, that's right. Tomorrow is my birthday! I'm sure you'll all join me in my celebration!

I'm of course still oh-so-cute, just extra wise and handsome too!
I expect I'll be getting plenty of cuddling and kisses and pressies, too!

...so I guess I'd better go take a bath and brush my teeth and prepare for MY DAY!

The WriggleButts on Norway - NORWAY

Time for another little lesson for our foreign friends. Here come the basic facts we should have posted first, but since we had all the funny pictures from Oslo we decided to take things in a less than logical order. We're dogs - what do you expect?

So this is Norway... or a drawing of Norway anyways - and it's a democratic monarchy in Scandinavia a part of northern Europe, but we're not part of the European Union. We border to Sweden, Finnland and Russia and it's a very tall and skinny country. It's not like a pug, but more like a whippet in other words. Area:385 155 km2

This is our flag - so like our friends in the US our colours are red, white and blue!
Our Head of State is His Majesty King Harald V of Norway and our Head of Government is Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.

May 17 1814 in the town of Eidsvoll our constitution was finalised and we separated from our union with Denmark. Well... we didn't do it because we were not born yet. But you might remember that one of the guys was from Mom's home town and we've shown you the statue in his memory before, but we'll do it again. Many people believe the unions we were in with Sweden and Denmark before finally getting our independence in 1814 is a reason why we're not part of the European Union. We just love our independence too much.

On our constitutional day all the children and lots of adults gather here - we'll try to tell you more about our celebration in May when the actual day arrives. Mom is actually having the day off this year (very unusual) and we'll try to go out and celebrate and take pictures of all the fun for you guys to enjoy. Unlike in most countries (to our knowledge, anyways) the day is mainly a day for the children.

The currency used to buy dog food, pig tails and other edibles (and apparently other stuff too if you care) is Norwegian kroner (krone = crown) refered to as NOK. 1 NOK = 100 øre. Oh.. and we have 3 extra letters in our alphabet compared to the English version. They are Æ(æ), Ø(ø) and Å(å).

That will do for now - we hope it wasn't too boring and that you learnt a bit! Learning is good for your brain - then you will be even better at doing clever stuff in the future. Like stealing food off the counter or finding that yummy something that's hidden from you.

Sweet Roxy wondered where in Norway we are - and here we've added another picture to show you. We live in what is concidered eastern Norway - as you can see it's also in the shouth.. (it's too skinny a country to concider the eastern part to go all the way to the top.. Tee hee...)

It's snowing a bit again today.. Sigh.. So we'll stay waaaay down inside the blankets until Mom returns from work today! We hope you all have brilliant (and preferably warm and dry) weekends!

Bambam

This is my beloved stuffie, usually referred to as Bambam. All my stuffies are, though, as long as I love them.. Coco sometimes use it to sit or sleep on because it's nice and fluffy and comfortable. I don't like ti much if I want to... uh... wash and meditate with my stuffie. The video might give the impression that I want to hump my Bambam. That's not really the truth, so I've uploded another video taken just afterwards when I take care of Bambam and clean him up nicely after having been used as a bed!

You won't believe what just happened! We're just all home together and happy and should be enjoying ourselves and be eating food - and don't you think Mom brought out the dreadfull noisemaker the vacuum?

Mom is back!

Awooohoo...! Mom is back! We've been on vacation with Grandpa (Bajas & Coco) and Auntie (Nimbus) for over a week while Mom went away. We've been deprived our regular time on the Internet and we'll try to catch up! We've not done much since we got home last night - just cuddling up with each other and Mom, really. The important stuff.

Mom is uploading her pictures from Vienna and some from Germany, too and will probably share some with you later!
