A whole lot of (cute) nothing

So we've not been up to much today. Mom's been to work pretty much all day and we've been snoring. So we thought you'd like a few puppy pictures in case you dropped by and hoped for some fun!As you can see Coco was recovering from surgery when puppy Nimbus came along. You might also notice she's much less grey in this picture.
Bunny-puppy-Nimbus...
...learning to be a blur like Whippets should.
...to snuggle up in tiny spaces..

... getting valuable experience for later life!

Snuggly hugs,
the WriggleButts

...who are off to join Mom on the couch for some serious snuggling.

I'm Coco!

Hi!
Thought it was time I introduced myself properly. My name is Klehaugens Britta Eime Alt, but my call name is Coco. I'm the boss around here. The First Lady. I've heard the others use the word bossy.. I think that sounds a bit negative. I'm boss and they really have to deal with it. If they just do as I wish all the time we'd have no problems what so ever.
So this is me again. I'm pretty cute, huh? I'm turning NINE this December (the 19th). I know.. I look just like a puppy. When we went to buy dog food last week the guy in the production area (the Polish workers there gave me some testers! Yay!) said "She is kinder, yes?" They don't speak much Norwegian, so mom said it was a sort of English-German mix. Either way they thought I was a puppy! Hah! Cutest pup(py) ever!
My tongue is long enough to lick between my eyes! Neat, huh? And I have the smelliest breath in history - and i just LOVE to give kisses! They kall them stinkykisses.. Bah.. But you just can't avoid getting my kisses.. If you try I'll jump in your face and kissybite your nose.. So you'll get my smelly breath in your nose anyways. Just kiss me!

This is Bajas on the right and me on the left with our racing blankets! Looking good, huh? Bajas is my son. Like for real. He actually came to live here before me. So he tried to write an introduction before I did mine, but that just wasn't happening. No way! I came here for my "retirement" to live with my son and Mom. Anette, our breeder and the lady Mom bought Bajas from decided she had too many dogs at home to care for them all properly. She didn't want to let the young show dogs go, and she didn't have the heart to let the old dogs go.. So I, at the prime age of almost five, took the trip across the mountains and joined my son and his human Mom. I knew it would be a pretty good place to stay as she'd already shown her great taste in pugs choosing my son as her first dog! Then a little while later Nimbus came along!

If I see a dog or something similar(pig, horse, bear, dark car etc) on the TV I'll jump up and bark at it! And I HATE that ugly, ugly black thing with a squished face that live in certain objects around the house.. The stove.. Picture frames.. What Mom calls "a mirror" etc.. I just go totally crazy trying to attack it before it attacks me, but we always tend to attack at the very same moment. Mom says I must have Body Dismorphic Disorder or something.. I have no idea what that means.. But I wish the ugly thing in "the mirror" would move to someone else!

Oh.. And they call me Stinkadora, too.. cause my breath is stinky.. And Pøse.. That's sort of doglanguage-Norwegain.. and too hard to try to explain in English.. Sorry.. (Uh.. okay.. I'll try.. It's babylanguage for sausage.. implying I'm sausage shaped.. )

Stinky kisses, Coco!

Meet our forest!

Hi guys!

We've allready showed you the area where our great grandfather lived, so we thought we'd give you the guided tour of "our forest". It's just about 75 meters from our house so that's really convenient. Mom say we're spoilt. Anyways.. From April to August you're not allowed to let dogs off leash in Norway, but apart from that we usually get to run freeeee!

Okay.. so let's go!

We usually start down this road. It's a maintenance road for the railway. It's really great for it's no cars and there's a fence between the road and the trains so it's really safe. Plus there's trains going by so we get our dose of weird, noisy stuff.. Mom think's that's brilliant for puppies. We don't really care.We can continue further, but we usually turn left here and head for real forest!
The stuff on the right here is a bridge across the railway to more forest. But we usually keep to "our side", and only cross over for really long walkies.
Runrunrunrunrun! For a little whippie it's just heaven to run free. The pugs just trot alongside mom with or without leash..
You never know what sort of treasures you might find!
Deeper into the forest we go...
Sometimes mom make us do tricks - like jumping over these!

Or just jumping up somewhere for a good photo-op!

Now we're all tired and ready for some time on the couch with mom! Hope you've enjoyed the trip!

Pray for Steven, please

One of our cyberfriends from the bestest online group ever, WhippetWorld, has been asking for help lately. Her son has Crohn's and is really sick.. It's very scary for him and the people that love him. We've been sending all the healing thoughts that we can manage, and comforting thoughts for his mom, Trish, but he keeps getting worse.. We're so very sad, and we hope all you great doggies and humans out there can keep him in your thoughts and prayers! He's having surgery today because of complications with a blood clot around his PIC line. There's so much stuff we don't understand, but we understand it's serious and that mommy is worried so we are worried!

Sad sniffs,
Bajas, Coco & Nimbus

Mouse!

We've got a new friend! This morning BoyFriend spotted a mouse when he was in the bathroom this morning. The appartment where we live is underneath another house and down into the ground. The inner part of it isn't "fixed up" in any way.. just concrete floor and walls and full of all sorts of rubbish + the freezer (where all the yummo food is!) and a spare fridge. The apt. was made as a convertion a few years back, and the bathroom is in that area and separated from the rest of the apt. with a solid door. There's a door to the bathroom, allthough we've never understood the point. First of all it's harder to get in to keep mom company if she's allready in there on her own. We're not tall enough to open doors, unfortunately, and mom isn't willing to install new handles on our level. Unfair! Anyways.. If you're small as a mouse you can crawl into the bathroom from the cellar. you can't if you're a Whippet. Not even a pug. Now Nimbus is laughing because he says it's hard to get in anywhere if you're a sausage shaped pug. He's just jealous. But we digress.. again..

We're not sure what to do about the mouse just yet. If it's not ruining anything we might just let it stay here for a while. They tend to get in here in autumn. If she (we're sure she's a she) causes mom trouble we'll have to put up traps, though.. We used to have mouse friends when we lived with auntie. Before she had the cavies she had Fancy Mice, you see.. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy. If you like mice, that is...

This one, Doris, is daugher of the two mice in the next picture. She's dove/tan. Father is the black/tan and her mother is the PEW (Pink Eyed White). See? We even know stuff about mice!
For now we'll just keep an eye out for her. Mom's seen her three times allready. Once she hid in the shower for a bit.. after first attempting to get out underneath the bathroom door, but having trouble jumping high enough from the floor to get in between.. LOL.. Mom had a good laugh. We'll keep you posted if anything exciting happen!
