Teaching Tuesday

Okay - so some of you asked about the cat show so we thought we should post and tell you a leetle bit about what it's all about. Plus Mom need to finish the final American lit. paper and is easily distracted. BOL!

Unlike a dog show where you can come just before your assigned time. With dogs you get an aproximate time in advance and your breed will not show before this. All dogs of the same breed (not always the puppies if there are many dogs) will be shown for the same judge and at the same place. The cats must arrive early in the morning (7-8AM), go through a vet check and be set up in their crate where they must stay all day (7PM). They don't have to be locked in at all times- they come out to see the judge and to cuddle and stuff but they can't leave the building.

This is Virus' mom, Justa.

This is Tilly, one of Mom's favourites. As you can see Lene's curtains are a little bit fancier than the ones Mom just made.

This is Virus' litter sister, Rapunzel.

This is Virus in his crate - we borrowed curtains that were baby blue and brown. In a way not too different from what we've got now. He got to have his carrier in there so he had a nice safe place to hide. He was just a kitten after all.

Here's a lovely (ahahaha) picture of Mom carrying Virus up to the judge. They're only judged on the table and the arm of the owner/assistant carrying them.

Having a good look at Azari..

Cat shows are a bit confusing as several judges can judge one breed - but all cats from one "colour group" will be with the same judge. Lene said this coming show she'll have 4 judges each day - so will be running around like crazy trying to keep track of who should be where - and when.

Monday Cuteness!

We thought your Monday needed a sprinkling of cuteness. These are actually a few weeks ago so in many way they're probably cuter than what they are now. They're turning into more youngsters than kittens, now...

Pralinë is such a pretty girl! Mom will get to kiss her this weekend at the show!

Snuggle-pile!

Pjotr - the white on his legs is so cool!

One more of Pia.. Cutie!

Tired, too!

All 4 of them @ 11 weeks

Hi there, guys!

Ohh.. And we have a SECRET! Tee hee...

More show prep...

Here's some more of all the prep for the cat show next weekend. Mom got Virus a wheely carrier bag - I'm certain he's eaten too much so she doesn't want to carry his (big) little pear shaped frame on her shoulder any more! It's roomy enough to fit a pug. Yes, I've tried.

She also did a little more sewing yesterday and made him some sort of sleeping bag or something. I guess that's useful when you're travelling and don't have to much furs.

Today she's going to attempt to get lots of stuff done. House work and baking and school stuff. Time will show, as far as I can tell she's spent most of the morning on the couch so far. Tee hee...

Maybe I'll get my apron out, though!

Big Sunday kisses,
Bajas

Mom's at it again...

Mom's been playing with the sewing machine again today.. Apparently she believes it's important for Virus to bring his own curtains to the cat show next weekend.

She also made him this little bed to stick in a corner of the show crate. The bottom (beige) and inside of the little bed is of a really, really soft blanket - similar to Virus' favourite blanket that Mom always have on the couch. He should like that. It also shed like CRAZY once she cut into it and there are tiny pieces of beige fluff all over... I guess Mom's going to have some fun cleaning up after this...

I just sleep in my new comfy bed. And next weekend PA and I are going to the lake by ourselves for a relaxing weekend while Mom and Virus travel to the show. She says we're going to need all the energy we can get.. Wonder why...
