Happy Sunday!

Yay! First of all Mom is home from work - but the second good thing today is that we sold the car today! Or.. The deal was they were coming to pick it up today, and Mom didn't want to relax until she actually had the money (and was rid of the car). We're gonna miss the car, though, we've had some good trips there!

Now look at the little guy - can you see he's getting curlier? And a bit darker, too!
Mom seems to be getting more and more fond of the tiny things.. Sigh.. She's bought a tiny computer to take with her to school! It's just a 8,9" screen and it's excactly half the size of our regular one.

I suggested to mom I should do my blogging from the tiny one as I'm so much smaller than her, but she said it was for school work only.. used instead of taking notes by hand!

Silly Saturday

Mom is working this weekend, so we have to provide most of the entertainment ourselves! I made Virus make a little show for me...

Then we got some sleep.. Mom is keeping us up all night with her stupid cough.. And I can tell you I really need my beauty sleep, and lots of it, to keep up this cute face!

There are many ways to sleep. Virus and I have found several ways that are comfy.
...sometimes I am the mattress and Virus is the doona.
Sometimes I use Virus as a cushion...
... and sometimes we relax side by side while keeping an eye on all our friends in Blog-land!

Virus' first trip!

So Mom did tell the truth! Friday after school she came home and put Virus in his carrier... ... and then we got on the bus and then the train with PA and we went up to the lake!
Virus got to do some exploring in the yard.. It was all a bit huge and scary, but he was pretty tough!
Isn't that little butt of his hillarious?
We took a picture-update of his curliness, too! I hope you've all had great weekends! I'll be around getting up to date with what you've been up to very soon!

The tiny crate

Here are a few pictures from when Virus was getting to know his new crate! The irony is Mom finally got around to picking up the carrier she will actually be using most of the time..
...so he'll have to go get used to another mobile home! Hah.. I'm sure there'll be pictures of that soon, too.. Hah.. He's so tiny he was in Mom's bag on the train last night!

I'm feeling a whole lot better today! Mom made me sleep with CARDBOARD in my crate.. Can you imagine? That's like not soft at all.. I tried to tell her it wasn't good enough, but the stubborn human wouldn't listen. But if she hasn't started lying to me, too (and I wouldn't be too surprised.. with the shocking flaws in her personality that have surfaced lately), there's a trip coming up!

Sorry...

I'm not really able to post or read and comment today, but I hope you're all doing better than me! I must have eaten something or got some bug, because I've spent the day running in and out with Mom with severe diarrhea.. (And unfortunately for both of us Mom HAD to go to school for a couple of hours today for an obligatory assignment and let's say what she came home to was not very pretty and I had to get a BATH and Mom got to enjoy some nasty cleaning!)

I love my big brudder! He's great fun - stuffed toy and climbing tree all rolled into one. I figure the rolling part is what made im the shape he is...


Here is what I like the best:we have soooo much fun! And he's a pretty good sport about it, too. He's rather patient and hardly ever tell me off even if I'm being a bit of a brat.

Nice relaxing time on the couch...
...for a few seconds anyways! Having a little brudder sure is hard work. Sometimes I make disappointed faces at Mom. I think she should tell him off, really.. But if I get really annoyed and tell him off he goes away. For a couple of seconds, actually... Oh well.. We'll get there. Mom's telling me I have to let him know when I've had enough.. But patience is more my style..

Vet visit!

Hi guys!

We're back home from the Vet's! Virus did really well! First he got to take a ride in his new crate.Can you see him in there? :D

I took him for a little walk outside the Vet's first!


We had to wait a little while, but he was real tough and just sat in Mom's lap most of the time while I jumped up and down with excitement. We met a 4month old long haired Vorsteh puppy and a Kooiker and some longhaired cat.. and a black/silver Miniature Schnauzer and an Airedale! Pretty good value for money in my opinion!

Virus got his check-up first and bled a little from where the needle punctured his skin when getting his vaccine, but he didn't make a noise. Then he got to cuddle with the vet tech while I got to be ON THE TABLE! Wohoo! I just love the vet! I got LOTS of treats and cuddles and then we went back home. Virus is asleep tired from all the new impressions and I'm a bit tired myself after all the excitement!

Sunday Secret

Today Virus told me a secret.. I tell you - cats keep WEIRD things secret... But Mom told ME we're going to see the VET tomorrow! I'm so excited! I love that! I wonder how Virus will react, though.. Mom bought him a tiny crate yestedray (I can hardly get my head in there!) so he'll have somewhere safe to travel in.. perhaps he'll want to hitch a ride in my crate, though.. You think?

Virus is clapping for his new itsy bitsy toy! (He loves it! Thank you!)
He's also clapping for the fact that he's getting fluffier and curlier!

We also clap our hand for the wonderful people helping people in need! One of our fellow WW'ers - Whippet World members that is - is offering shelter to someone in need!

If you evacuate and have a travel trailer or motor home we can
accomodate a few of you-all - we can let you use a 15 amp
elect hook-up and water - we have room for a lot more but
electricity would be a problem - we could accomodate many more
but you would have to be self contained - the storm is predicted
to be through here in NE oklahoma sometime sunday thru monday-
if it goes on the projected path we could receive somewhere around
4 to 6 inches of rain - our place is on the highest hill in creek county
so no worries of flooding here - its just going to be wet and maybe
a little breezy - temps will be rather nice thru monday - we have
about 3 tree covered acres that is usable - after clearing Houston
it is about an 8 hour drive here - remember you will most likely
be gone for awhile -

Ok... The little guy is getting pretty cheeky! *sigh*

My old forest

This weekend Mom's been busy with lots of choir stuff. They always practise intensely one weekend each fall and spring to prepare better for whatever concert they have coming up. Since the car is working I got to come along.. It's always better to go with her than staying with home.

Here I'm in my crate! I'm not too impressed with Mom taking my picture before letting me out!
Going home yesterday we stopped at Sofiemyr where we used to live and where I grew up! It was a good idea, taking a walkie in our old forest!
A wo-hooo!
There's paint on some of the trees - they're made by the skiers association - red paint mark a ski trail and blue paint a summer trail. You can walk many of the red trails during summer, but you might suddenly arrive at a lake you're supposed to cross or marshlands and stuff that's better to cross while frozen.
Mom found and ate blueberries! And got her hands all stained with purple. We have blueberries that's blue/red all through, unlike American blueberries.

Here we're walking where a really old road used to be.


Today Mom is home, though! So now we're just gonna snuggle on the couch!

Tired Thursday

Ok.. so we're being very slow lately.. Seems Mom can only do so much at once.. Humans.. Anyways the good news are that the car is back home and all well. Mom will have to clean it up and take some pictures so she can post it for sale..

Last Saturday Mom went to meet up with Lene, Virus' breeder, and another friend at a C A T show a couple of hours south of us. With the car not working she had to take bus - train - bus each way, but Mom like to travel. And so do I. Still I did not get to come along.. Bah..

At the show Lene bought Virus a catnip pillow - here you see a couple of videos of him with it. As you can see I'm not overly impressed with the thing. And it left white fluff all over Virus and the floor. BOL.. Mom got some nice vacuuming out of that thing.. But not as much as when I get into the cat litter.. Tee hee..

First of all I'd like to send my very best lucky snorts to anyone in the path of hurricane Gustav or any other nasty storm. I also want to say we're thinking of Eduardo's mom struggling with her epilepsy. We hope she'll be better real soon so she can snuggle with Eduardo and he'll have time to blog! Then Mom got a text message from Auntie - my very best buddy and Mom's favourite nephew - the one and only Fenris aka Frizz - is having back problems and is in pain..

Stay strong, buddy! I know you'll get through this!
