Fabulous Friday

Today we thought we would share some old pictures from long before I was even a puppy.

This is Linka - the first dog Mom ever had. She was an Irish Terrier and these are her puppies!

This is Auntie with one of those pups. As you can see she was very much against ever separating from any of them!

This is Auntie and Mom in the box with the pups.

How cute are these little guys?

And here are some of Tara's puppies:

Tiny little AireBaby!Schooo cuuute!

Hope you all have great weekends!

Picture overload on a Thursday

So, Mom PASSED her test - meaning her essay will be graded as her "exam" for that course. We took a serious hike to celebrate. We're trying to find the lake I've shown you before, Sognsvann, and we believe it to be somewhere behind the first hill you see in this picture.

Another city view..

It's a leetle bit steep at times..

Plenty of little streams for me to have a drink!Don't forget me, Mom! I'm coming!

Blueberry flowering! The little, round, red flowers will be replaced by blue berries by fall!
It was really quite easy to find the way. Here we've two standard colours marking paths - the red ones are for ski tracks and the pale blue for summer trails (avoiding lakes, marshlands etc that will be frozen in winter so you can ski on top).

I even found some snow for Khyra!

Here I cooooome!

We mostly followed the "winter" path. It's a rather wide gravel road and no problem to use in summer. But once we followed the summer trail - see the light blue on the tree trunks? That's telling us where to go - it was no trouble following the trail at all.
Then we got back out on the big road again.
We really did find the lake! And I got to come along visiting Veronika - but one of her room mates are allergic so I spent most of the time on the veranda.

Almost home, around 9.30PM! Still nice and a little sun left, but you can see the dark clouds appearing in the distance. Tomorrow will be gray..

Hope you've all had great Wednesdays!

Big kisses,
Bajas

Study day...

It's 9.30 AM and Mom is finished at the dentist. They did a bit more drilling in her tooth, but this time they decided to try without the anaestetic so Mom isn't feeling so silly after. She says it doesn't really hurt at all. When I was at the dentist I was totally under and don't remember anything. The first time the vet took my extra baby teeths I didn't want to separate from and the second time I got a nasty infection and they removed four teeths! The two big ones on each side and the little one close to it - since something had stuck between them on the one side they wanted to make sure I didn't have any more infections. These are some of Mom's study supplies. Felted slippers, fleece jacket and her big tea thermo cup. The first two makes sense. The last one not. She does love her tea, but she doesn't like to burn her tongue and the cup is so efficient her tea have to stand for minimum one hour - with the lid off - before she's able to drink it. BOL!
Slippers on - and in one of the couches at school..
The fleece coat is used as an extra cushion - and if she's cold the trenchcoat can be a blanket.
Then make some tea (and wait) and put the baby laptop on your lap and you're ready to go! 4,5 hours to the philosophy exam. It's a multiple choice test. Mom HATES them. It's very time saving and efficient to simply have one right answer. But they're often "half truths" and make Mom really annoyed. BOL!

Anyway - I hope she'll pass it. Then we're heading to the woods for a nice, long walk! Yay!

Pretty as a picture

Frognerseteren 9.mai 09

Now isn't that a pretty decent view? On Saturday Mom brought me to the highest point the subway can take us. This is the view towards the city from the subway station.

...and in the other direction there's nothing but forests. From here you can go for miles in real wilderness either in summer or on skis during the winter.

This is the subway station. Isn't it pretty cute?

Uh oh.. do we really have to go all back up again afterwards? Sigh..

..and down this steep, rocky path..

Mom let me off leash since she needed her arms for balance. BOL! It's not allowed after April 1st and during summer - while the animals have young. Mom really do respect it, but since she knows I'm not going to go hunting no deer she thought it was fine for a little while.

Pug coming through!
Frognerseteren 9.mai 09
You coming or what?

After this Mom put the camera away. We walked for about an hour - the last 30 minutes was all up hill.. Mom was panting like I pug. I swear!

So some good and some funny news: Mom passed her grammar (did we tell you allready) as expected, really, and she also passed her British Civilisation essay on the first attempt. She was very happy. It is possible to pass when handing it in the first time, but generally you need to revise it. So she was very pleased! And can put all her effort into reading philosophy and ethics for her first exam tomorrow! Yikes!

So the funny: Mom was at the dentist today and spent a fortune - she also came back out looking like a stroke patient after they sedated half her face. BOL! She had a yoghurt for breakfast drinking it through a straw. BOLBOL!
Hopefully, by lunch, she'll be able to chew without hurting herself! ;)

Bajas out!

The best - on a Sunday.

Salinger and Pearl both showed their favourite place to sleep - and I wanted to do so, too! I suppose I might have shown you before, but made Mom take some more pix while we were watching TV last night. Well.. She was.

You might not always see me, though.. I'm often under a blanket!Oh.. and a silly pic of Virus just for the fun!
